What’s in a name?

Welcome to Red Lipstick.. A little blog about our incredible Scott, and his journey to beating Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (again) with the help from a life saving stem cell transplant.

When Scott’s mom Jane was undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapies during her own fight, she always had a positive outlook and an “I can do this” attitude. Even when she was feeling her worst, she would do her hair and makeup, and apply red lipstick for her appointments.

When Scott was first diagnosed, and in hospital feeling like garbage, he showered, put on clean clothes and styled his mop of hair saying it was all part of staying positive.

It’s all “Red Lipstick”.

  1. Hey guys! Wow….no words can explain on where to start. After reading this blog and hearing updates from Amanda, only one word comes to mind. Amazing.
I know I have only had the pleasure of hanging out a few times with you all, but I knew from then minute I laid eyes on this, cheetah cloth wearing family, that I would like you guys!! That’s why it doesn’t surprise me that you are doing so well, Scott. I can’t imagine what it feels like, for all of you, but please know that I have had you all in my prayers since the day I found out. I’m sure it won’t be long now until we can all crack a few cold ones together, and who knows, maybe throw in a little Port Credit comedy fest…and more cheetah print.
    Sending HUGE hugs,

    1. Scott and Hailey. We are so happy that Jeff is a “more than perfect” match for the transplant. We are sure that he is more than happy to step up to the plate. Then you hit a home run together. We are seeing Paul and Theo tonight and we will share this good news. They are in Florida for a month. Take good care of each other….as you always do
      Love
