And we’re off!
While the transfusion itself is a straightforward enough process and as predicted fairly anticlimactic, this room is charged with complex feelings. We’re grateful that Jeff’s cells are robust and healthy, relieved that Scott’s body hasn’t immediately rejected them and optimistic that their close typing will mean a smooth recovery. ‘Day Zero’ marks a new beginning and brings unlimited possibilities.
As the guys have both noted, it’s fairly significant that the fourth person in the room with us administering the actual transplant, is Scott’s nurse – Jane.

Happy to see that the transplant process has begun and, all in all, Scott looking pretty good. Sending positive thoughts, hugs, and best wishes your way for all to go well and that things go smoothly from here on in. Daryl & Leslie

I am so excited to be caught up on the news about the transplant having proceeded yesterday. I’m glad that delay was short-lived and all is back on track. I think it was Jeff’s birthday within the past week and a new ‘birthday’for Scott as you say. You are all in my thoughts as usual. Keep up the great writing Hailey. You are truly talented and an inspiration….Wendy
